Therese Anne Fowler and St. Martin’s Press are thrilled
to have the support of The Fitzgerald Museum
in Montgomery, Alabama.
The Fitzgerald House was the residence of F. Scott, Zelda and their daughter, Scottie, in 1931. It was saved from demolition in 1986, making it the only remaining residence of the famous couple in Montgomery. The museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating the life and works of F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald.
Pre-Publication Launch Party
Z was officially launched in a pre-publication party at the Fitzgerald Museum this October, during “Scott’s 2nd Annual Halloween Bash”.
The Montgomery Advertiser published a story about the event:
“Party favors included orange foam “huggers” embellished with the Fitzgerald Museum’s new logo, created by Montgomery artist Arthur Leslie III. Every guest was also treated to Halloween candies, while the trick was to be one of 10 lucky costume prize winners who were awarded pre-release copies of “Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald” by Therese Anne Fowler.
Though its official release by St. Martin’s Press is not until March 2013, to be eligible for the give-a-way, the recipients had to pre-purchase tickets for the bash on the museum’s website. Winners included Nicolette Harrell, Chris Daniel, Deana Acklin, Melissa Bowman, Ladonna Idell, Bert Jordan, Elaine Kieffer and Ed Litaker.”
Zelda’s legendary Halloween extravaganzas served as inspiration for the event, which was held at the Fitzgerald’s house in Montgomery. You can sign up for the 18th Annual Gala & Silent Auction, to take place on Saturday, March 3, 2013 from 7pm – 10pm here.
